Galbi has got to be one of the world’s best foods! An absolute favourite in Korea, it is also increasing its popularity in other parts of the world, including the U.S. and Australia. The Korean press has been abuzz with celebrity fervor after a visit from A-lister Angelina Jolie in Seoul last week to promote her new film Salt. The kids like to pluck my arm hairs. Aside from the other American teacher, they never get to see body hair, and I beat my coworker in spades, though he does have one of the burliest mustaches this side of a Geraldo impressionists convention.

My girlfriend says that I spend too much time playing Screen Golf. She’s probably right but to be honest I don’t care - I love it! There’s nothing better than a ‘friendly’ wager for some chon wons and bit of banter between mates on a golf course to make your time in Korea more enjoyable.

While everyone likes to get off the beaten path once and a while, there are some times—especially in a country where many of us don’t speak the language—that we’d just like to lay back and let someone else do the work for us.
